Lassen

I'm so glad we decided to swing through here on our way down from Oregon. There's so much of northern California I've never seen! We walked around and waded in Manzanita Lake, and then stopped in the most picturesque little meadow for lunch. A clear, shallow stream ran through it, and the girls just climbed in and out of it between bites of lunch. They're so happy outside! It was a little hard to return to crowded LA after all the outside time last week. Our last Lassen stop was the mud pots. I had never seen anything like that before, it's so weird! Molly thought it was pretty hilarious, and after seeing that boiling grey mud, she said "It's making dinner!" More pictures below.
