The Lady Turned One

Molly is one! She is a vivacious, opinionated, sassy little comedian and I love her to bits.

She was a lucky little lady and got to have G&G Hawkins and some of her aunties in town for her birthday. (They were actually here to see Danny be a star at his mock trial competition, but we didn't tell her that). We sang to her and opened presents in their hotel room and she knew it was just for her. She got some sweet gifts, including a cute winter coat from G&G Taggart. We kept her up way past he bedtime and she was a good sport.

We also had a combined birthday party last night with her friend Olivia who turns one at the end of the month. Molly showed off her new walking skills and begged bits of donuts from anyone who would oblige. It was a pajama party. PJs and donuts, sounds like Jack's idea but it was actually mine haha.

A bit about Molly at one year old:

She has five, almost six teeth.

She says, mama, dada, hi, bye bye, and no. Just the essentials.

She rejects avocado and rice. She loves berries, beans, green smoothies, and treats! She has a highly developed sugar radar, I can't even sneak chocolate during the day anymore.

She walks! She can take about five or six steps at a time.

She is intensely curious and wants to see, touch, taste, and interact with all people, animals, and objects in sight.

At her most recent doctor's appointment she was 95th percentile for height and between 25-50th for weight. She also screamed bloody murder from the moment the doctor first touched her until we left. Not our best visit.

We're leaving in the morning to go to Disneyworld with the Taggarts! I can't believe it's actually here. Molly has literally been waiting her entire life for this trip. As Jack said...One day more! Another day, another destiny, this never ending road to Disney...

  1. Happy Birthday Molly. She is so cute.

Also I laughed at Jack singing one day more... brings back memories of our senior year ski trip where we listened to bare naked ladies for 4 hours and i asked if we could please listen to something else-which he threatened to kick me out of the car for-but then obliged with les miserables. good times.
