Conference Weekend

Hoodrats wandering the streets of Sandy
Last Saturday was not a particularly interesting day, but it is a day that I would love do again! Jack and I ended up wandering around South Jordan and Sandy while our car was getting fixed up. We had no good prospects of places to watch conference, but we had bus passes and determination! It ended up being a perfect day.

It involved donuts, Chipotle burritos (Notice how I list the food first? I also did this in my childhood journal when I recounted important events. Things never change.) lots of walking around in the sunshine, bus rides, and two great conference sessions. And some quality time with baby Sammy, who is fatter and cuter than ever. We watched the first session on our laptop at Barnes and Noble and then Alli and Danny scooped us up and took us to his brother's house for the afternoon one! It worked out perfectly.

Life lessons learned from that day: making a plan is useless sometimes, but things always work out. And life is more fun without a car.  So does that mean we should sell our car and move to New York with no job prospects or future plans? Maybe so! I'm feeling down for a challenge. But the most important things I learned that day are from General Conference.  Go here to watch it if you haven't already or if you are curious!

  1. Joanna, Not sure but I think Mom wrote up dad's war memoirs when BYU was asking for submissions several years ago for a book that was published. His memoirs didn't get published in the book but I guess they did get saved in Special Collections. what else does the library have on daddy?
