Carolina Christmas

We spent ten glorious days in North Carolina with Jack's parents. We stayed in the house by the temple in Apex instead of at the Raleigh house. We had John and Marilyn all to ourselves and they spoiled us big time, taking us everywhere we wanted to go and catering to our every whim. I love how often Molly gets to see her east coast grandparents. Even though we live far away from them, they visit us and fly us out to visit them. A big blessing for us! Some highlights of the Raleigh trip:

meeting Tan, one of their Chinese students who came to visit
going to the North Carolina Museum of Art
visiting the Raleigh house and playing in the woods
going on runs through the pretty neighborhoods
driving around to look at Christmas lights
seeing the movie Annie
going to Jack's ten year high school reunion
the Dumbo stuffed toy and Elsa dress that Grandma T got for Molly - her most prized possessions
John's traditional veal and polenta on Christmas Eve
seeing Jack's old friends Taylor, Carla, and Johnny and their families
going to Marbles, the best children's museum of all time
enjoying the movie projector they have set up in the living room
face timing with all of Jack's siblings
eating way too many chocolate covered caramel macadamia candies
going to the temple together for the first time since Cora was born
going to Goodberry's every other day
thrift store shopping
going to an awesome indoor play place

Raleigh is just so incredibly family friendly. I would not mind moving there some time in the next five years! Molly had the time of her life om this trip and was very sad to leave Grandma and Grandpa.
