music on a monday
You know when you find a song that never gets old no matter how many times you listen to it? (or how ridiculous it is?) And every time it comes on the radio it is the happiest moment of your life? That's how this song is for me. In fact, it is the first song that i can remember being completely obsessed with. I was four years old when we first went to visit G&G Leavitt in England, and we LOVED hanging out in aunt Jess's awesome attic bedroom. She was the ultimately cool aunt. And even though she probably doesn't still have those fuzzy platform-shoe-shaped slippers that played spice girl songs when you walked in them, she is still the ultimately cool aunt. Anyways, I can remember hanging out with Jess, Alli, and Ness and listening to this song on repeat a million times. It's definitely my clearest memory from that trip! Thank you Ace of Base. And thank you Jess for being a nice enough twelve-year-old to let me hang out with you.

I was just trying to convince Matt on our drive to Oregon how cool Ace of Base is. He didn't really go for it.
