Horses

A few weekends ago we drove up to Modesto to go horseback riding in the mountains with the fam.  I didn't really know what to expect, but I knew it would be fun because anything involving sisters, horses, mountains, Jack, ponds with lily pads, and was planned by my dad is bound to be a good time.

My horse was named Gipper - I was slighty offended that everyone said it suited me, because....Gipper? Gipper was a little bit of an idiot, but mostly nice. Jack had a regal horse named Murdock who never misbehaved. Tori had Walter, Maddie had Maddie (LOL), Livvy had Aspen, Dad had...I can't remember, and Danny had Reno. Danny had to be in the back of the line the whole time because apparently Reno is a kicker! Sassy!

We saw all different kinds of trees and flowers. It was a fun ride because the scenery was constantly changing from rocky to green, and from pretty meadows to grand views. There were little lakes with lily pads and all different kinds of wildflowers!

We stopped at lunch to eat and swim. We jumped off rocks into the water and laid about in the sun. We ate sandwiches and cookies. It was ideal.

By the end of the day we were sooo tired. We were sunburned and could hardly even walk. Horseback riding is hard on the knees! But would we all do it again? YES.
